The  Feast of San Gennaro, New York City’s longest-running, biggest and most revered religious outdoor festival in the United States, held  on the streets of historic Little Italy, the lower Manhattan neighborhood which served as the first home in America for hundreds of thousands of Italian immigrants who came here seeking to improve their lives beginning in the early part of the 20th century.

  1. I love going to Little Italy, though the last time I visited it seemed more crowded/touristy and less “Italy” than I remembered. We always ate at Luna’s and it’s no longer there. But Ferrara’s was there so I could have my cannoli fix! Thanks for sharing and bringing good memories to mind.
